Head of Department S.I. Kholopov

The Department of Automated Control Systems was founded in 1971 on the basis of the previous Department of Automatic Control Systems (1961), under the leadership of Sh.Yu. Ismailov. In subsequent years, it was headed by Candidate of Sciences in Engineering Science, Professor A.M. Smolyarov (1968-86); Candidate of Sciences in Engineering Science, Associate Professor E.M. Dondik (1986-96), Doctor of Sciences in Engineering Science, Professor G.I. Nechaev (1996-2013). Currently, the Department is headed by Candidate of Sciences in Engineering Science, Associate Professor S.I. Kholopov.

The department trains bachelor’s degree students with the major 09.03.02 «Information systems and technologies» of full-time, part-time and extramural modes of study and full-time master’s degree students with the major 09.04.02 «Information systems and technologies».

Our Department employs 1 professor, 9 associate professors, 3 senior teachers and a group of educational and auxiliary personnel.

The laboratories of the Department are equipped with modern computers, which are integrated into a local network connected to the integrated computer network of the university. There is a university laboratory for information and computing systems based on ADAM equipment of Advantech Corporation. The Department has a lecture room and two computer labs equipped with media projectors.

According to the results of scientific research conducted by the Department, 3 doctoral and 24 candidate dissertations were defended, 9 monographs, over 800 articles were published, about 450 reports were made at scientific conferences, more than 210 copyright certificates for inventions, patents and certificates for software products were received, 5 textbooks with a stamp of Academic Methodological Association and more than 60 teaching aids were published.

Currently, the Department has a scientific and educational center of information systems and a departmental lab for automated control, analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of collective agreements in the field of education.

The Department carries out a set of works on the development of information systems for various purposes and on their large-scale application. The Development of information systems and technologies, in which teachers, employees, postgraduates students and students of our department participated, have been implemented at more than 100 enterprises of the Russian Federation and have been awarded with diplomas and medals.
