The Department of Space Technologies is a Degree-granting Department in the following majors:

Bachelor’s degree

Major 02.00.00 «Computer and Information Sciences», Specialty 02.03.01 «Mathematics and Computer Sciences» (4 years).

Major 09.03.01 «Informatics and Computer Engineering», Educational program «System Analysis and Engineering of Information Processes» (4 years).

Master's degree

Major 09.04.01 «Informatics and Computing Machinery», Educational program «Space Information Systems and Technologies» (2 years).

Postgraduate study

Major 09.06.01 «Informatics and Computing Machinery», Specialty 05.13.11 «Software of computers, complexes and computer networks» (4 years).

Currently, the Department of Space Technologies employs 15 teachers, including 6 Professors, 7 Associate Professors, 2 Senior Teachers. All teachers are highly qualified specialists, many of whom have completed internships at well-known Russian and foreign universities and firms, including universities under the Tempus NETCENG International Educational Project. It allows them to teach students at a high professional level.

The Department of Space Technologies has modern well-equipped educational and scientific laboratories, which are located in the Business Incubator (BI) and the main building (MB) of the university.

They included:

• Multimedia class - room 260 of MB;
• Laboratory of Geoinformation Technologies - room 21 of BI;
• Small spacecraft design laboratory - room 23 of BI;
• Laboratory "Clean room" - room 23 of BI;
• Laboratory of radio-electronic systems of unmanned aerial vehicles - room 24 of BI;
• Laboratory of Theoretical Mechanics - room 265 of MB;
• DLM office NETCENG - room 149 of MB;
• Center for Space Radio Monitoring - room 21 of BI;
• The center for monitoring and controlling flights of small spacecraft - room 21 of BI.

In addition, in the educational and scientific processes of the department, laboratories and centers for collective use of the Business Incubator of the RSREU are additionally involved.
