Head of the educational program «Chemical technology»: Master's degree 18.04.01 and Bachelor's degree 18.03.01

The Department of Chemical Technology has been training bachelors with specialty «Chemical Technology» since 2011. Full-time, part-time and extramural academic bachelors have been attended the specialty program «Chemical technology of natural energy carriers and carbon materials» (major 18.03.01 «Chemical technology») since 2014.

Full-time bachelor’s training course with major «Technology of electrochemical production» with specialty 18.03.01 «Chemical technology» has been opened at the initiative of the military-industrial complex enterprises since 2016.

Full-time and part-time Master’s degree students have been trained in the specialty 18.04.01 «Chemical technology» since 2017.

Our Department employs 9 teachers, including 5 associate professors – Candidates of Sciences in Engineering Science and in Physics and Mathematics.

Leading specialists of AO (JSC) Ryazan Oil Refining Company (RORC) and the military-industrial complex enterprises take part in the educational process. Our Department is equipped with the necessary classroom devices for the implementation of educational activities.

Nowadays, we have 3 specialized chemical laboratories: «Oil Chemical», «General Inorganic Chemistry» and «Organic Chemistry and Catalysis», satisfying educational needs of our Department. AO (JSC) Ryazan Oil Refining Company (RORC) has fully repaired and equipped our laboratories with innovative equipment.

There are several types of practical training: work experience practice at AO (JSC) RORC and in major «Technology of electrochemical production» at MIC (military-industrial complex) enterprises (Plant Krasnoye Znamya, AO (JSC) «Ryazan State Instrument-making Enterprise», Ryazan Metal ceramics Instrumentation plant, etc.).

Leading enterprise’s specialists determine thesis paper’s themes. The State Examination Commission consists of 60% of AO (JSC) RORC and military-industrial complex enterprises leading specialists. Almost all graduates are sent to work at these enterprises and many of 4 year students are recruited.

The basic Department of «Chemical technology of organic substances» was founded at AO (JSC) RORC. There senior bachelor’s degree students and master’s degree students are trained by leading company’s specialists.

New information technologies are widely introduced into the educational process. There is a computer classroom provided with all necessary software products to ensure educational process. Our Department has a modern lecture hall equipped with multimedia equipment and training laboratories - with innovative equipment.

Department’s research area: Research of hydrocarbon mixtures based on spectrographic and chromatographic methods.
