Head of Department: Sergey Aleksandrovich Kruglov, Doctor of Sciences in Engineering science, Associate Professor

Deputy Head of Department: Andrey Aleksandrovich Serezhin, Candidate of Sciences in Engineering science, Associate Professor.

Currently, the Department of Industrial Electronics employs 22 teachers, including 5 professors and 14 associate professors. Most of the teachers are highly qualified specialists (candidates and doctors of science), which allows us to provide training to students at the highest professional level.

Department`s classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment, modern measuring devices and computer devices. Information technologies are widely introduced into the educational process. The Department of Industrial Electronics is a Degree-granting department. It conducts training in the following areas:

• Electronics and Nanoelectronics OPOP (major professional academic program) (major) "Industrial Electronics" - Bachelor's and Master's degrees;
• Design and technology of electronic devices OPOP (major professional academic program) (major) "Design of automation and electronics devices" - bachelor's degree;
• Electrical power engineering and electrical engineering OPOP (major professional academic program) (major) "Power supply" - bachelor's and master's degrees.

In recent years our teachers and the Department itself permanently hold a leading position in RSREU rating lists. Our teachers widely use multimedia and computer devices during lectures and workshops. Innovative computer devices and measurement equipment are used during laboratory classes. Distant educational courses have become widespread in our Department. Traditional forms of students' professional growth are scientific research. In the last year volume of research grants were above 17 million rubles. Our Department successfully raises future academic personnel. Postgraduate student defend their candidate's dissertations annually.

Every year several postgraduate and doctoral students embark on postgraduate studies in our Department. Our research fellows and teachers successfully work at foreign scientific institutes and laboratories.

The major scientific areas of the Department:

• Nanotechnology;
• Analytical instrumentation (mass spectrometry and energy analysis);
• High-current electronics and nanosecond technology;
• Heating engineering;
• Power engineering;
• Microprocessor technology and microcontrollers.

Our top level academic fellows have a great scientific potential. They participate in conferences and seminars, including international ones, and have government, regional and industry awards. All this confirms the high level of Department's personnel training.
