Our Department was founded in 1988. And nowadays it is a general professional Department of the University. It trains all students of the university on the courses "Life Safety" and "Ecology".

The department employs 8 teachers, including 6 associate professors, candidates of sciences in engineering science, 1 senior teacher, 1 assistant and 2 members of teaching staff. More than 60 study guides have been published by the teachers of the Department. Moreover, they have designed and manufactured 18 original stands for laboratory work on the courses "Life Safety" and "Electrical Safety in the Electric Power Industry and Electrical Engineering". Laboratory work and practical classes are carried out using modern computer and measuring technology. Distance learning courses are widely introduced at our Department.
