Training of reserve officers at the military department

Ryazan State Radio Engineering University is a leading University of the country of radio engineering  directionwith a strong school of staff trainingfor civilian and military sectors.

Military department of the University prepares reserve officers for national defenceforces – Army signaler and specialists in avionics air defense.

RSREU accepts for training students of 2 courses of technical specialties of the University.

Admission to the military department has competitive system. The selection of candidates is carried out by the competitive commission.Preselection is held by the military registration and enlistment office. The candidate must meet the following requirements: must be a citizen of Russia, must be on full-time tuition, age not over 30 years, to be able for health to education, get professional psychological selection. The level of physical fitness checked. The main selection is carry out by the competitive commission among the citizenspassed the preselection.

RSREU signs a contract with the applicant. Education begins in the 4th semester. The duration of military training is 2,5 years.

Education at the military department is for free.Besides, during the education period, students are paid an additional scholarship.

Permanent officers are trainers. Teachers share their long experience, including combat experience, experience of service in the armed forces and equipment maintenance. Teaching is conducted according high standards with of using modern methods and teaching aids.

Military department has a good educational and material resources, fully equipped with modern standard military equipment. The base of military educational institutions and military units of Ryazan garrison: Ryazan Institute of the Airborne Troops, Ryazan Airborne Regiment, 43 Center combat employment and retraining crews arewidely used.

Within the duration of study at the University students defer to the Armed Forces. After graduation, the officer rank is given to citizens simultaneously with enrollment in the reserve. Reserve officers may voluntarily enter the military service under the contract. The Department assists in finding job to graduates who wish to make a career of an officer. Our graduates are expected not only the armed forcesbut also the other security agencies our graduates. Heads of defense companies are also happy to employ our graduates.

For 55 years of existence the department has released more than 22,000 reserve officers. Up to 15% of graduates every year join to the military service under the contract. Many of them were left to serve in the Armed Forces cadres and now hold positions of federal and regional significance. Among the leading staff companies and organizations of Ryazan region plenty of graduates from the Radio Engineering University and the military department as well.

The management of the Strategic Rocket Forces, Chief of the Air Force radio-radar troops, Administration chief of communications Armed Forces of Russian Federation , the Department of the Ground Forces, the Headquarters of the Western Military Districtoften spoke positively about high professional quality of our graduates.

The graduates of the military department are the main source of qualified stuff of the concern «Anti-aircraft warfare», «Almaz-Antey» and otherdefence industry of Russia complex.

At the beginning of 2019, as part of the promotion and development of new promising sports, with the support of the Student Union Committee of RSREU, the Department for Educational Work with Students and staff of the University, a concept was developed for organizing recreational sports events using laser tag.

Later, due to increased activity, it was decided to expand this group to a sports section, which would include two directions, airsoft and laser tag. In addition, it was proposed to organize patriotic training.

“RSREU-Film” is the oldest student association of the University. The main principles of the association are voluntariness, equality, development and promotion of cinema and television as an art form. The film studio has its own studio stage, lighting and filming equipment. The studio gives you the opportunity to test yourself in various roles: operator, screenwriter, director, stage director, actor. Every year in October, a recruitment for training and work in a film studio is announced.

In 887 Universities of the country in 1951/52 academic year, has learned more 108,000 students more than last year, and the number of students was increased by 60,000 until autumn.

In the coming school year, classes will start in a few new institutions of higher education, including the Ryazan Radio Engineering Institute.

Our Institute is the third high school, opened in Ryazan in the last 4 years.

RSREU began the classes from September 1, 1952, in the building located in one of the main highways of the city - on Yamskoe highway.

Now the building is being completed and adapted to accommodate the lecture rooms, laboratories, faculties and departments.

«Ryazanstroiy» is engaged in construction works. The builders have committed to finish the construction works until 25 August.

At the same time the equipment and staffing of the Institute was making.

The best wood processing factories of the country provided the excellent furniture to the Institute; there is a constant supply of the most valuable equipment to the laboratories from the plants.

Teaching staff began to arrive at the University.

There is an admittance commission as well as courses for applicants are organized.

The buildings that have been provided to the University, will not be able to accommodate all the departments and laboratories of the Institute, therefore, the new buildings will be built.

For three years in Leninskiy village in the territory of the present hippodrome, new monumental four-story academic buildings will grow.

More than 250 meters on the large street their facades stretch; on the same street the central portal of the eight-and two side columns decorated lobby will be built .

The total length of all the buildings of the Institute will be about half a kilometer.

Lecture rooms for 250 people, spacious classrooms for group sessions and numerous laboratories of three faculties of the Institute: radio faculty, electrovacuum faculty and faculty of electrical instrument, will be placed in educational buildings.

Half of one of the academic buildings is designed to accommodate a large sports hall with all ancillary facilities and assembly hall for 700 seats for club works.

Five-story building of student hostels and homes for academic staff will appear almost beside academic buildings.

Each room is intended for no more than four students. On each floor there will be a shower with warm water, a rest room.

Asphaltic highway will connect the new campus to the city center, and the proximity of urban trees and abundant landscaping will make it one of the most beautiful parts of Ryazan.

The choice of the site connected with the master plan of Ryazan, in which next to the Institute small town comfortable working town with tram and asphalt highways will be built.

Construction of buildings of the new Institute was tasked to the Ryazan Building Trust, the most powerful construction companies in our city, which already has considerable experience in large-scale construction.

The National Institute of design schools conducts design of the whole complex of buildings (project architect E.I. Dzhaginova).

In order to ensure timely commissioning of buildings in operation, the modern industrial methods will be widely used in construction.

There was the maximum mechanization of work, and most importantly - a great unification of building details and wooden structures.

All this is taken into account within the design.

The building projects of the Ryazan Radio Engineering Institute and its residential buildings approved according to standards.

The layout of the buildings and their components, as well as architectural design, which is under the special task to be done for Ryazan much better than that is usually made according to ​​the standard design.

The inventor of the radio, the great Russian scientist-patriot Popov said the words: «...
