The Clownery Theatre “-17” as an independent association appeared in 2019. Unlike classical theatres, the “-17” association prepares theatrical clownery shows and plays. Performances in the genre of theatrical clownery, using the techniques of buffoonery or eccentricity, are based on the development of the overall action of the performance, when each character is embedded in the plot, undergoes certain transformations (character, goals, relationships, etc.) in accordance with plot and semantic devices.

Over the two years of its existence, author's performances “Three-ring circus”, “Behind the Closet”, “Red mullet” were presented at university and city venues. The theatre took part in the Student Spring festival and won a grant from the Governor of Ryazan region.

In 2021, it is planned to open the venue of the Clownery Theatre “-17” on the basis of the dormitory No. 3 of the Ryazan State Radio Engineering University. Follow the announcements and come to our performances. It's worth it!
