The Sports Club of RSREU is a subdivision of the Student Union Committee, whose activities are related to the organization and holding of sports events at the university. The largest sports event is the student Spartakiade, which is held annually. Teams of faculties compete in 13 sports in the fight for overall victory.

The Sports Club also holds amateur tournaments in team sports and organizes support for the university teams - it participates in providing the training process, organizes trips to training camps, interregional and All-Russian competitions.

Thanks to the successful activities of the Sports Club and the Department of Physical Education, our University is the recognized favorite of regional sports competitions. The RSREU team annually claims to win the regional Spartakiade among students of educational institutions of higher education and regularly outperforms its rivals.
