Faculty of Electronics is one of the leading University Faculties. We carefully store our traditions. However, we have been permanently developing according with the current needs of employers. In the face of modern challenges and in accordance with the accepted Development Strategy of the Electronic Industry of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, our graduates seize knowledge not only in the field of “classical” electronics, but also master the most modern information technologies. Our graduates have deep knowledge of the equipment hardware, electronic and computing equipment, so due to this, they successfully compete in the IT-area. Graduates of the faculty are highly in demand by leading enterprises specializing in the development, production and operation of knowledge-intensive, high-tech and industrial equipment both in Ryazan region and Russia, including abroad.

At the Faculty of Electronics, bachelor’s degree students can major in four specialty courses: 11.03.03 “Design and Technology of Electronic Devices”, 11.03.04 “Electronics and Nanoelectronics”, 13.03.02 “Power and Electrical Engineering”, 18.03.01 “Chemical Technology”. For each of these courses, students can obtain full-time or master’s degree.

The educational program “Radio Engineering Electronics” as part of the specialty 11.03.04 “Electronics and Nanoelectronics” is implemented using an online-form of training in conjunction with the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology” (National Research University). Students studying in this specialty learn a number of special disciplines at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

All students of the Faculty have the ability to study at the military department on training programs for reserve officers (soldiers).

Spheres of professional activity of the Faculty graduates: electric power industry, electrified transport, power and information electronics, electronic and computing equipment, the use of computers and new design technologies in automated control systems for technological processes and objects, petrochemistry, chemical technologies and others.

Academic and industrial intership of students is carried out at the leading enterprises of the region and neighboring regions, for example, “Rosseti Center and Volga Region” – “Ryazanenergo”; “Ryazan Oil Refining Company”, Scientific and Production Corporation “Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering” in Kolomna; “Ramensky Instrument-making plant”; Scientific and Production Company “Istok” named after Shokin” in Fryazino, “Transneft” and many others.

Our Faculty traditionally occupies a leading position in the University in terms of scientific research. Participation in scientific work allows our students to strengthen basic knowledge with practical skills. The Faculty has 5 scientific and educational centers in various areas. Students often become winners of the youth scientific and innovative competition “U.M.N.I.K”.

For active participation in scientific activities, olympiads and good academic performance, in addition to academic scholarships, students of the Faculty can be awarded personal scholarships: P.V. Poshekhonov scholarship, G.N. Schuppe scholarship and award, scholarship named after A.A. Polyakova, scholarship named after N.I. Gushchin.

Faculty students actively take part in university and regional events and realize not only their scientific and technical, but also sports, organizational and creative potential.

Come to our Faculty, we are waiting for YOU!

Faculty of Radio Engineering and Telecommunication (former Radio Engineering Faculty) was approved by the Order of the Minister of Higher Education of the USSR on January 19, 1952. In the same year, the specialty 0705 “Design and manufacture of radio equipment” was opened at our Faculty.

In 1962 three Degree-granting Departments were organized: Department of Radio Receiving and Radio Transmitting Devices, Department of Radio Engineering Systems and Department of Radio Electronic Devices.

The Faculty was renamed in 2003 and became “Faculty of Radio Engineering and Telecommunication”.

Nowadays the Faculty graduates bachelor’s degree students with specialties 11.03.01 “Radio Engineering” and 11.03.02. “Infocommunication technologies and communication systems”, master’s degree students with specialties 11.04.01 “Radio engineering” and 11.04.02. “Infocommunication technologies and communication systems”, as well as engineers with specialty 11.05.01 “Radio-electronic systems and complexes”.

The Faculty employs 64 teachers, including 6 professors, 8 doctors of sciences in engineering science, 24 associate professors, 37 candidates of sciences in engineering science, 10 “Honorary workers of higher professional education of the Russian Federation”.

The Faculty consists of the following Departments:
