Doctoral department

1. General provisions

1.1 The persons who have a PhD degree are accepted to the doctoral department. Preparation of doctoral students is carried out on a basis full-time. Doctoral training period must not exceed 3 years. 

Main research 

  • creation of advanced radio engineering, information and telecommunication devices and systems;
  • mathematical development, software and hardware for computer systems and signal processing systems, images, and fields;
  • development of new information technologies and management practices for the scientific, technical and socio-economic spheres;
  • development of physical principles, design systems and technologies for the creation of electronic and microelectronic devices and instruments.

 

2. Reception of documents.

2.1 Applicants must submit to the department of doctoral studies the following documents:

  • application to the Vice-rector of RSREU (Annex 1);
  • copy of the diploma of graduation;
  • personal piece of accounting personnel;
  • detailed plan for preparing for the doctoral dissertation;
  • list of published scientific works and inventions;
  • conclusion of the Department (Section) on whether admission to the doctoral department;
  • Identity document and diploma on PhD degree are presented personallyin the institution of doctoral candidacy.

  

Documents should be submitted to the institution of doctoral candidacy before June 1 of the current year in folder.

3. Admission to the doctoral studies.

3.1 Admission to the doctorate studies is carried out by the order of the vice-rector of research work on base of the advice of the relevant department and the decision of the Academic Council of RSREU.

3.2 Persons enrolled to the doctoral department, receive release from their posts in accordance with the labor legislation of the Russian Federation. Scholarship to on the budget basis is paid from the date of enrollment, but not before the date of dismission from a previous post.

3.3 Persons who have completed training at doctoral studies, are not transferred to a researcher for the preparation of their doctoral thesis.

3.4 Preparation of doctoral students over the admission quotas are under contracts with the tuition paid by individuals or legal persons.

Documents required for admission to the doctoral studies 

      Applicants for RSREU doctoral studies must submit to the department of doctoral studies the following documents:

  • application for admission to doctoral studies to the Vice-Rector of Research RSREU (Annex 1);
  • copy of the diploma of graduation;
  • personal list of accounting personnel;
  • detailed plan for preparation of the doctoral dissertation;
  • list of published scientific works and inventions;
  • conclusion of the Department (Section) on whether admission to the doctoral program;
  • Identity document and diploma on PhD degree are presented personally in the institution of doctoral candidacy.

 

Documents should be submitted to the institution of doctoral candidacy before June 1 of the current year in folder.

Preparation of theses in the form to get the degree of PhD or the Doctoral degree

1.General provisions. 

1.1 Applicants PhD degree may be persons with higher education.

1.2 Competitors doctoral degree may be a person, who holds a PhD.

1.3 Applicants working on dissertations are attached:

- To work on his thesis and candidate examinations - for a term not exceeding 3 years;

- For the preparation and delivery of candidate examinations - for no more than 2 years

The total period of attachment does not exceed 5 years.

1.4 Attaching the candidates to work on a doctoral thesis is carried out for a period not more than 4 years.

1.5 Attaching the candidates for the preparation of Phd doctoral dissertationare in the field of post-graduate studies and doctoral studies.

2. Reception of documents.

2.1 To be admitted the applicant shall submit the following documents:

  • application to the vice-rector for research work;
  • personal form;
  • copy of the diploma or a copy of diploma conferring the degree of candidate of sciences;
  • certificate of candidate examinations;
  • list of published works.

 

2.2 For those who have higher vocational education abroad should submit appropriate diploma and the certificate of its equivalence issued by the Ministry of Education.

2.3 Diploma of higher education, diploma conferring the degree of candidate of sciences and passport must be presented personally.

2.4 Acceptance of documents is carried out at the same time frame as in the postgraduate and doctoral studies. 

3. Applicants

3.1 Admission to the applicants is carried out by the order of the vice-rector for research work on the basis of signed contracts with payment of the cost of training by individuals or legal persons.

Ph.D., postgraduates exams

According to the Regulation «On the training of scientific and pedagogical staff in the system of postgraduate professional education in the Russian Federation» Postgraduates examinations are part of the attestation of research and scientific - teaching staff. The purpose of the exam is to define the degree of professional knowledge of the applicant, the level of preparedness for independent scientific - research work.

Postgraduates examinations is obligatory in order doctorate degree is awarded / PhD exams are conducted on history and philosophy of science, foreign language and special discipline.

Postgraduates examination in special discipline is conducted under the program, which consists of two parts: a typical program – minimum related to the speciality for the special and additional program developed by the relevant department.

All necessary educational materials for preparation to the exam on specialty can be found at the respective departments.

Postgraduates examinations are conducted according the resolution of the examination committee with the help of cards or without cards. Knowledge degree of applicants is assessed as «excellent», «good», «satisfactory», «unsatisfactory».

Repeated pass of postgraduate examinations in one session is not allowed.

Ph.D. exams in a foreign language, and history and philosophy of science are held from June 1 to June 30 (summer session) and from November 1 to November 30 (autumn session). Date and time of the examinations are determined by the order of the rector of the University.

Dudukina Olga Ivanovna - the associate professor of the state and municipal management and the economic theory department.

In 2007 she graduated from the Ryazan state radio engineering university specialty " State and municipal management ".  Since 2007 works as the teacher at the department.  In 2010 she received a candidate's degree.  Now works as the associate professor of the state and municipal management and the economic theory department.

It is published more than 30 scientific, educational and methodical works.

Dudukina Olga \'s scientific training at Technical university of Kaiserslautern (Germany)

During the period from September to December, 2012 the Associate Professor of the State and Municipal Management and the Economic Theory Department Dudukina Olga passed training in Technical University of Kaiserslautern (Germany).  Work took place at the Regional Development and Spatial Planning Department with which the State and Municipal Management and the Economic Theory Department established partnership of cooperation. Training was made possible thanks to win a tender conducted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Training held under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr. habil. Gabi Troeger-Weiß - the Head of the Regional Development and Spatial Planning Department.

The subject of scientific training was "The comparative analysis of the higher education system organization of Germany and Russia within Bologna Process".  Within training Dudukina Olga studied the main documents characterizing an education system in Germany and extent of introduction of Bologna Process in the main directions of reform.

She took active part in Department activity:
•  participated in lectures, workshops,
• meeting with a student's activists,
•  attendance at the department meetings,

• and also in a meeting of group of students from Namibia.


Together with group of students from Namibia participated in a meeting with the President of Southern Structure and Approval Management of Rhineland-Palatinate; the Managing director of the Association of Towns in  Rhineland-Palatinate; the Advisor at the Regional Planning Department of  Western Palatinate.

During the training Dudukina Olga gave the lecture in English for students of first course on "Socio-economic, structural and demographic changes in Russia: trends, development and spatial effects".

Training was in goodwill and even care from the German colleagues. Acquaintance with the traditions and culture of the people, the study of its language also took place.


Economic activity

Material and technical base 

There are 3 academic buildings with the total area of 39881 square meters, 5 hostels for 2359 places, a medical office, a preventive clinic, a canteen, a stadium, a sports camp, «Green Forest», a fitness center with a swimming pool «Radio volna» and other social facilities at the University. 

Material and technical base of the University is developed. The repair of hostels, academic buildings and buildings of social sphere services was made in the amount of more than 455 million rubles in 2007-2011. The Center for collective use of probe microscopy acquired and commissioned unique educational and scientific equipment, as well as the server and editorial publishing center were modernized, etc. 

RSREU has advanced computer and communication infrastructure that includes 2,000 computers with different license programs, a single corporate network with 9 servers, that support internal and external University portals, e-mail, data security, distance learning and remote access to the library funds. There are satellite, wire and fiber optic cables of the remote access in the University. All student hostels are in the single corporate network and connected to the Internet.
