The Ryazan state radio engineering university has
acted as the associated partner of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University
(IKBFU) to receive of the European Union grant. As a result of competitive
selection IKBFU has received the EU grant for realization of the three-year
project (2011-2013).
The project provides creation of The
European Union Centre at IKBFU, carrying out of scientific conferences,
seminars and working groups, the publication of scientific works, and also
teaching perfection in area of European region. Besides, within the limits of
the project it is planned carrying out of summer schools for students in which they
will study a number of subjects in area European region. Lectures will be read
by foreign teachers.
Project Objectives:
1. To promote EU related topics in
education and research:
up-dating
of existing courses and introduction of new ones connected with EU;
intensifying
research work on EU-related topics among Ph.D, Master and BA students on the
themes connected with EU.
2. To improve qualification teaching
and academic staff in the field of EU studies, including methodology and study
courses content.
3.To promote a better understanding
of EU among NGOs' staff, journalists, officials of both regional and municipal
levels.
4. To promote EU-Russia relations:
conferences,
seminars and workshops, publications and other information products;
strengthening
cooperation with both Russian and European partners on EU-related issues.

As the first action within the
limits of this project from May, 13 till May, 14th, 2011 at Immanuel Kant
Baltic Federal University there has passed the international conference «Russia
and the European union: the agenda 2011» in which has taken part the senior
lecturer of the GMM&ET department Dudukina Olga Ivanovna. During conference
by participants were discussed the questions connected with legal aspects of
cooperation of Russia and EU, by a policy of identity to Russia and EU
formation, development of regional cooperation on Baltic, protection of
investments, cooperation in a context of the international relations.
